I felt like I had scored some Glastonbury tickets when the link magically opened up for me on Wednesday! I'm 70 miles return trip from a supermarket and if there is no stock - and there isn't - then it's 2 weeks until I can check again. So it was ridiculous excitment when the box duly arrived on Friday safe and sound. The contents are shown to potentially vary, but in my case they were: - 1.5kg White Strong - 1.5kg Wholemeal Strong Then 1 kgs bags of plain white. + self raising white + Spelt + Malthouse, 6 bags in all. Plus the yeast pack. All with dates into 2021 (wholemeal was Oct 2020 as one would expect). I am very happy with that, and I'm looking forward to becoming a regular customer.

I'd almost given up trying to source flour for bread-making. Ocado occasionally has flour apparently in stock online, but I've yet to receive any in a delivery. Other online mills seem to have collectively thrown their hands up in horror and admitted defeat. Thank goodness for Dove's Farm level-headed approach to the crisis by providing a one-per-household-per-week selection of flours at a very reasonable price. Very well done, Dove's Farm!

Wow, I usually bake our bread every 2 days, so this lock-down has been such a frustration... I would never had thought in the 21st century that flour could disappear so quickly from our lives. I am so happy to be able to access Organic Doves Farm flour again ; and with the new colorful packaging, this is the first real rainbow on the horizon ;). My box arrived today and I was delighted to find a bag of wholemeal plain flour inside as that’s the flour I needed most. I love Doves Farm flour and usually buy the same ones but thank you so much for putting this wonderful box together as I am now trying different flours and making different breads. This is a great option and reasonably prices. It would be nice to continue a 'mystery box' of flour.

I’ve been using Doves Farm’s wonderful products for years, and like most people I have struggled to get hold of any flour or yeast from supermarkets since the shutdown. I ordered the Baking Box on Monday and it was with me by Wednesday - needless to say I am delighted. The box contains a great assortment of flours along with a packet of dried yeast and will also give me the opportunity to try some of their specialty flours for the first time (my box included rye flour, which I am looking forward to experimenting with). A superb package from a fantastic company, and I would highly recommend their products and the quality of their service. Many thanks to all at Doves Farm for all their hard work in keeping us in flour and yeast right now - it is much appreciated and I hope the Baking Box will continue on their site once shutdown is over, as it’s a great idea!

Thank you Doves Farm for my organic flour box. I was slightly apprehensive about ordering a mystery box but I am delighted with the contents, especially the mix of bread flours. I haven't used Rye flour before but your recipe section of the web site will provide me with plenty of ideas.

My daughter and I always use Doves Farm Flour for our baking and bread making - and we love the biscuits too. We were beginning to run out of supplies with the Lock Down so were delighted to see the Box was available. It was hard work getting it as it was either out of stock or the shop was shut. Pleased with my box. It's good value and came quickly. Only disappointment is that there was no wholemeal bread flour, got two whites instead. Understand that's part of the deal but a blow if you are running out of wholemeal.

My flour (and yeast) arrived today and it was like Christmas, as I didn't exactly know which type of flour would be in my box. I was highly delighted with the result. Some of the flour is flour that I usually use (i.e. wholemeal & malthouse bread flours). Some of the flour is flour that I've never used (i.e. Rye). Delighted with our box of flour which arrived so quickly. A good mix and needed as we do all our own baking. As the opposite to another reviewer we prefer white bread flour and mix our bread flour part wholemeal with mostly white. It will be interesting to try the rye flour and malthouse flour. We also usually use white SR and plain so will mix the wholemeal plain with our remaining white plain for biscuits. Having the yeast in the box is really good too. In these times we are so grateful for the mixed box and the way it is organised to give all a fair share. Thank you

I was absolutely delighted to be able to order a gluten free flour box for my son's family in Somerset for Easter. It has, and is, proving a great success and very useful. My daughter in law has made bread which they would have been hard put to find at the present time and the cereal bars were a great treat for the children. We haven't been quite so fortunate; as we make all our own bread and buns we are fast running low on yeast, though we are hopeful that 16kg of bread flour is (as I type) already on it's way to us from Dove! The service is good and our box arrived two days after ordering. However, to get 5 stars there needs to be the option to choose between wholemeal and plain. We got 1 plain bread flour & 1 wholemeal bread flour which is fine, but wholemeal plain flour AND wholemeal self-raising? Really? I don't think either of those will help with cake or biscuit-making, at least not the sort the kids want to bake. Even the specialty flours, Rye and Spelt were wholemeal versions.

Absolutely love these flours i have used it for cinnamon rolls, a white loaf, almond rye shortbread, sourdough starters and i'm still going i am recommending this to all my friends but sadly they keep missing out due to them selling out. I will 100% be using this stuff as my go to flour from now on and am very very happy with my results thus far. The service was also great.

My box arrived the day after ordering which would have been amazing service even in 'normal' times. It was fun opening it up to find out what I had as it's obviously pot luck at the moment. Really happy the two speciality flours were the ones I'd hoped for (e.g. the wholemeal spelt which makes lovely bread - and it's even better toasted), though I'd have gratefully worked with whatever I got. The supermarket shelves round here are still bare of any kind of flour or yeast, so it's wonderful to get hold of a Doves Farm box. I just wish I could get the malthouse flour to rise properly in my breadmaker. It's great to have to try new recipes, I enjoyed the rye and almond shortbread from the recipes on this site.

The box arrived quickly and I was impressed by the range of flours. I had not baked with wholemeal self raising flour before but did so for the first time yesterday. I can highly recommend wholemeal self raising flour for cakes like walnut cake and fruit cake (raisin and dried apricot was all that I had). The walnut cake I make was based on a madeira cake recipe and it all disappeared quickly. The wholemeal flour gave it and extra flavour and texture which added and extra dimension. I have hidden the fruit cake away for the week end otherwise I suspect that its will also go fast.
