On the Farm

Nestled in the heart of the North Wessex Downs lies Doves Farm, our organic, mixed arable farm. In our little corner of the British countryside, we believe in taking it slow by carefully nurturing our soil and our wildlife. Walk through our fields in the midst of summer and you can hear the soft hum of bees, the gentle flutter of butterflies, calming birdsong of skylarks, and the rustle of our crops.

So, how do we create this happy environment for both our food and our farm? Our Farm Manager, Darren, keeps a tight schedule. He plans a system of crop rotations which naturally develop our soil’s fertility, controls pests and diseases and allows us to grow our quality speciality crops of English Wheat, Spelt, and Rye which we mill into our much-loved flours.
