Wonderful Rye flour, delicious nutty taste and makes wonderful bread. So far I have made Vollkornbrot and a loaf, both delish. Highly recommended.

Provides a nutty flavour to bread. I marginally prefer this Doves Farm Rye Wholemeal Flour to Marriage’s Dark Rye Flour. I mix up to 25% of this flour with strong white bread flour in a breadmaker. Try the White Rye Flour too.

I bought this flour recently as I look after my elderly stepfather who is living with dementia and I always try to keep BM's good, with food rather than medication. The fact this flour is 13.4g of fibre per 100g made me buy it as there was a chocolate & almond receipe on the packet. I substitued peel for cherries & added in sultana's too and it is LOVELY. Made 3 times in probably 10 days. Take it with me when going to friends as I'd like them to try it too. Keep up the good work and the recipes on the packaging please :):):)

I have used this flour to make bread, ever since I bought a bust bag from the knock down section at the supermarket. It makes the most perfect bread I have every used, it rises well, produces a light loaf, stays in good condition, has a fine texture, cuts well, without falling apart, and taste brilliant, I would not go back to other flours. The house smells nice and guests always comment on my bread, asking for more, I know the flour may be fortified, But! at least it has no wood chip in it, Keep up the good work Dove.

This makes excellent rye bread, but anyone with wheat allergy (as opposed to gluten intolerance) please note that the rye flour is milled on the same equipment as wheat, and may pick up enough wheat to cause symptoms.
