Gluten Free Yellow Gram Celery Soup

Serves 6

This easy to make, hearty, vegan soup has a rich golden colour. For a comforting midweek supper serve it with a slice of Easy Gluten Free Seeded Bread or Gluten Free White Bread Rolls. Any leftover soup can be frozen for another day.

Ingredients

Change Quantities:
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 celery sticks, finely diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely diced
  • 100g FREEE Gram Flour
  • 1.5l water
  • salt and pepper
  1. Put the oil into a large saucepan over a medium heat.
  2. Finely dice the onion, celery, and garlic, add them to the pan, cover and cook gently for 10 minutes until the vegetables soften without browning.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat.
  4. Put the gram flour and water into a large bowl or jug, stir until completely combined.
  5. Add this to the saucepan and return to a medium heat.
  6. Simmer gently as the soup cooks and thickens.
  7. Remove the soup from the heat and using a stick blender or blender pulse the soup into a puree.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

I have made this several times now it absolutely delicious so creamy and tasty.
