Wholemeal Spelt Air Fryer Bread

About this recipe:
The single rise method combined with flavoursome Wholemeal Spelt Bread flour and an air fryer, makes this one of the quickest and tastiest loaves you can bake.
Equipment:
air fryer, mixing bowl and 500g/1lb bread tin
Ingredients:
250g Doves Farm Organic Wholemeal Spelt Flour
½ tsp Doves Farm Quick Yeast
pinch sugar
175ml tepid water
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp oil
oil, for tin
Method:
- Rub oil around the inside of a 500g/1lb bread tin and check that it will fit in your machine.
- Set the air fryer to 200°C and run it empty for 5 minutes.
- Put the flour, yeast, sugar into a mixing bowl and blend them together well.
- Pour in the water and mix together until craggy.
- Scatter the salt over the top and stir to make a dough.
- Sprinkle the oil over the top.
- Using your hands bring together a doughy mass.
- Knead the sticky dough in the bowl for 100 presses. Avoid adding flour as the dough strengthens.
- Shape the dough and put it in the tin, place the tin in the warm machine and leave to rise for 40 minutes.
- Without opening the door, set the air fryer to 200°C again and run for 30 minutes.
- Carefully take the bread tin out of the machine, tip the loaf out and leave it to cool on a wire rack.
