Put the ingredients into the bread machine pan in the order recommended by the machine manufacturer.
Turn the machine to the whole wheat rapid bread setting.
Select your preferred crust setting if available on the machine.
Check the pan is locked into position and start the machine.
Remove the bread pan from the machine as soon as has finished baking.
Tip the bread out of the pan and remove the mixer paddle from the bottom of the loaf.
Cool the bread on a wire rack.
Made this for our dinner to go with our soup and everyone LOVED it, so simple and cheap and easy and healthy and delicious and it worked 1st time. Thanks very much for sharing this recipe, it's perfect.

I have made this several times now. Always a tasty loaf with a nice, springy texture. Made in a Miller’s Choice bread maker.

I got tired of paying silly prices for "artisan" bread, so decided to buy a bread machine. This was the first recipe I tried (using Doves Farm flour and yeast of course) and I am absolutely delighted with the result. This recipe results in bread that is dense but springy with lots of flavour. I'm looking forward to trying Doves Farm's other bread machine recipes using some of the other wonderful flours that it sells.
