Measure the milk into a jug then pour it, except 100ml, into a saucepan.
Add the sugar and vanilla to the saucepan. Heat the pan, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the cornflour to the milk in the jug and stir until smooth. Stir in the salt.
Pour the warm milk into the jug, stir then immediately pour everything back into the saucepan.
Cook over a medium heat, stirring occasionally as the custard thickens.
Bring to the boil then remove from the heat.
Return the custard to the jug and serve.

Really easy recipe, great result, can't tell the difference from the non vegan to vegan, loved it!!!!!

Better than B@@ds custard powder! I used a combination of plant milk 100ml of coconut, the rest oat. I also used coconut sugar & no salt. The consensus (two group-up and two children aged 10 & 8) AMAZING! Best custard ever!. So I'm clearing going to be making it again! Thanks Dove Farm.
