Vegan Cinnamon and Maple Syrup Drop Scones

Makes 6 drop scones

Baked, not fried, these moreish little drop scones will have you coming back for seconds so make sure you cook up enough for everyone!  Delicious served on their own or with a fruit sauce these make a breakfast treat or a desert.

Free from Gluten, Egg, Soya, Wheat, Dairy, Nuts
Vegetarian, Vegan, Without crystal sugar


Change Quantities:
  1. Line a large baking tray with parchment and pre-heat the oven.
  2. Sieve the flour, sugar, baking powder, xanthan gum and cinnamon into a bowl and stir to combine.
  3. Add the oil and syrup and mix into a paste.
  4. Stir in the boiling water to make a thick smooth batter.
  5. Spoon batter into nine 7cm/3” rounds on the prepared baking tray.
  6. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes.
