Teff Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • 100g Doves Farm Organic Teff Flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 75g butter (or vegan spread)
  • 75g sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 75g Doves Farm Organic Dark Chocolate Chips
  • oil, for trays


  1. Pre-heat the oven.
  2. Rub some oil around the inside of two baking trays or insert baking liners.
  3. Measure the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl and stir to combine.
  4. Chop the butter into a mixing bowl, add the sugar and beat together until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in the water and vanilla extract.
  6. Sieve the prepared flour into the bowl and beat well.
  7. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  8. Divide the mixture into ten small piles of dough.
  9. Roll each pile of dough into a ball.
  10. Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking trays, leaving room for the cookies to expand.
  11. Flatten the dough balls slightly with the palm of your hand.
  12. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
