Sweetcorn Fritters


  • 75g Doves Farm Organic Maize Flour
  • ½ tsp FREEE Baking Powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 75ml milk
  • 100g sweetcorn
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • oil


  1. Put the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper into a bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Add the egg and milk and beat into a smooth batter.
  3. Stir the sweetcorn and finely chopped chilli into the batter
  4. Put some oil into a large frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Gently drop small or large spoonful’s of batter into the pan for each fritter.
  6. Cook until the base is golden brown, turn them over and cook the other side, about 4- 6 minutes on each side depending on the heat
  7. Remove the fritters and drain on kitchen paper.
  8. Repeat with any remaining batter.
