Sugar Free Banana and Carrot Cake


  • 175g Doves Farm Self Raising Wholemeal Flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 100g carrot, grated
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 75g unsalted butter, melted


  1. Rub some oil around the inside of a 2lb/1kg loaf tin or 20cm/8” deep round tin or line it with a loaf liner. Pre-heat the oven.
  2. Put the flour and cinnamon into a bowl and stir to combine.
  3. Finely grate the carrot into a mixing bowl.
  4. Add the banana and vanilla to the carrot and mash everything together.
  5. Break the egg into the bowl and beat until combined.
  6. Melt the butter and stir this in.
  7. Add the prepared flour and cinnamon and mix everything together.
  8. Pour into the prepared tin and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 40 - 45 minutes.
