Spinach and Teff Fritters


  • 100g spinach, chopped
  • 1 potato, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 chilli
  • 120g Doves Farm Organic Teff Flour
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 150ml water
  • oil


  1. Line a baking tray with a few pieces of kitchen paper and set aside.
  2. Finely chop the spinach into a large bowl.
  3. Grate the potato into the bowl.
  4. Dice the garlic and chilli, add them to the bowl and stir to combine.
  5. Put the flour, coriander, cumin, salt, pepper and water into another bowl and stir into a thick paste.
  6. Add the paste to the prepared spinach and potato and mix well.
  7. Put some oil in a frying pan over a medium heat.
  8. Carefully add spoonful’s of the spinach mixture and cook over a medium heat until the base is golden. About 6 - 10 minutes depending on the heat.
  9. Turn the fritters over and cook on the other side. About another 6 – 10 minutes.
  10. Remove the fritters to the prepared baking tray, cover and keep warm.
  11. Repeat with any remaining mix.
