Put the ingredients into the bread machine pan in the order recommended by the machine manufacturer.
Turn the machine to the whole wheat rapid bread setting.
Check the pan is locked into position and start the machine.
Remove the bread from the machine as soon as it is cooked and remove the mixer paddle from the base.
Cool the bread on a wire rack.
Perfect loaf first time! Great texture, holds together well and lovely crust. Perfect thin slices too. Definitely a go-to for me.

Just made this in my new breadmaker and it is simply perfect! Lovely texture, delicious flavour, and very quick to make - 55 minutes on the fastbake setting. This will probably be my usual daily bread. Scrumptious.

Made my first loaf of bread today using this recipe and doves farm whole meal spelt flour using my grandmothers ancient bread maker...
It was nothing less than perfect... super tasty bread!!
Can’t wait to try the others!!
