Quick Einkorn Bread


  • 500g Doves Farm Organic Stoneground English Wholemeal Einkorn Flour
  • 1 tsp Doves Farm Quick Yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 325ml water
  • oil for tins


  1. Oil a 1kg/2lb bread tin and pre-heat the oven.
  2. Put the flour, yeast, sugar and salt into a large bowl and blend them together.
  3. Stir in the water, mixing to a smooth dough.
  4. Using your hands, gather everything together into a doughy mass.
  5. Shape the dough and put it into the prepared tin.
  6. Cover loosely with oiled cling film and leave it in a warm place to rise for 40-45 minutes.
  7. Remove the cling film and bake for 40–45 minutes. You will know it’s done when the bottom sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
