Mushroom Sauce


  • 150g mushrooms
  • 300ml milk
  • 3 tbsp Doves Farm Organic Brown Rice Flour
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • oil for frying


  1. Finely dice the mushrooms and put them into a saucepan with a little oil.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mushrooms collapse. Tip the mushrooms into a bowl and set aside.
  3. Measure the flour and oil into a bowl and mix to a paste.
  4. Put the milk into the saucepan over medium heat to warm.
  5. Remove the milk pan from the heat and stir in the paste.
  6. Pour the milk back into the pan, return it to the heat and cook, stirring as it thickens to a smooth sauce.
  7. Stir in the prepared mushrooms and season with salt and pepper.
