Easy Gluten Free Seeded Bread

Makes 1 loaf

Simply add oil and water to the Freee Seeded Bread Mix to make this amazing gluten free loaf.

Free from Gluten, Peanuts, Egg, Soya, Wheat, Dairy, Nuts
Vegetarian, Vegan, Without crystal sugar

Ingredients

Change Quantities:
  1. Rub oil around the inside of a 1kg/2lb loaf tin.
  2. Put the bread mix, water and 2 spoons of the oil into a large bowl and mix to a thick batter.
  3. Drizzle the remaining oil over the sticky batter/dough and turn the mixture a couple of times in the bowl to encourage the formation of a doughy mass.  Tip the mixture into the prepared tin.
  4. Smooth the top and cover loosely with oiled cling film.
  5. Leave in a warm place until the dough has risen to the top of the tin, 45-90 minutes and pre-heat the oven.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
  7. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool.

I made the loaf by hand and followed the instructions very carefully. After the last tablespoon of oil had been added it seemed a bit wet and not like bread dough so I added a little rice flour. It proved over a warm oven perfectly and baked perfectly with an excellent crust. The texture seemed a bit moist and rubbery and although far preferable to bought gluten free bread it upset my ibs... could it be the chick pea flour? Please could you tell me what proportion is chick pea flour?

Wonderful bread, just like normal bread. At last I have found bread again instead of the solid or cake like alternatives I have been trying Nice and crusty with a wonder doughy middle. Making it was so simple Thank you

Loaf made in oven had a good crust but the inside was not cooked and the loaf did not rise.’ Second loaf made in Panasonic bread machine also had a good crust only then sank and was not cooked inside. Very disappointling.

With regards to your query, there may be various contributing factors which may be causing this (1) please always ensure to use the correct QTY of liquid of 430ml which also equates to the same in grams if this is easier for you (2) Always use tepid water as this will allow the yeast to work (3) With your bread machine; if possible please always use the Gluten Free setting on your machine and finally (4) always use the correct oven temperature as per our recipe.  If we can help further then please contact marketing@dovesfarm.co.uk.
