BBQ Flatbread


  • 100g Doves Farm Organic Self Raising White Flour
  • 20g Doves Farm Organic Stoneground Fine Plain English Wholemeal Flour
  • 1 tbsp plain natural yoghurt
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • pinch of fine table salt
  • 60ml lukewarm water
  • spray of rapeseed oil


  1. Put both flours, yoghurt, cumin and salt into a mixing bowl, add the water a little at a time to make a soft, slightly sticky dough.
  2. Using your fingers, bring the dough together and knead for 2 minutes, then tear in half and roll into 2 balls.
  3. Lightly flour the table then press each ball of dough with your fingers until you have made 2 round flatbreads.  Don't be afraid to turn the dough over if it starts to stick.
  4. Place it into an oiled BBQ or frying pan and cook until it puffs up and the underneath is flecked with brown spots.  Using tongs or a spatula, turn it over and cook on the other side.
  5. Cooking times will vary but approximately 3 minutes per side.
