Cinnamon Cake

  • 125g Doves Farm Organic White Spelt Flour
  • 2 tsp FREEE Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 100g butter
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 100g ground almonds
  • 100g Demerara sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk



  1. Line a 20cm/8” round cake tin with parchment and pre-heat the oven.
  2. Sieve the flour, baking powder and cinnamon into a bowl and stir to combine.
  3. Put the butter and caster sugar into another mixing bowl and beat together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  5. Stir in the prepared flour.
  6. Add the milk and mix well.
  7. Tip the mix into the prepared tin and smooth the top.


  1. Put the almonds, Demerara sugar, egg and milk into a bowl and mix together well using a fork.
  2. Spread the topping over the cake.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
