Chocolate Teff Brownies


  • 75g plain chocolate
  • 75g butter
  • 100g Doves Farm Organic Teff Flour
  • 1 tsp FREEE Baking Powder
  • 75g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 75ml milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • oil, for tin
  • 25g cream
  • 25g white chocolate


Teff Brownie

  1. Rub some oil around a 18x23cm/7x9” baking tray and pre-heat the oven.
  2. Break up the chocolate and melt it gently with the butter.
  3. Put the flour, baking powder and sugar into a bowl and stir to combine.
  4. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla and beat well.
  5. Tip the melted chocolate and butter into the mixing bowl and stir to combine.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tray and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-28 minutes.
  8. Leave to cool in the tin then cut into squares.

White Chocolate Drizzle (Optional)

  1. Heat the cream until warm to the touch.
  2. Remove from the heat, add the white chocolate and stir until smooth.
  3. Spoon or pour the chocolate drizzle over the brownie squares in a zig-zag action.
