Chocolate Crackle Cookies

Makes 15 cookies

These attractive cookies are the perfect biscuit to serve with coffee. A bag of these, tied up with pretty ribbon would make a lovely gift.

Ingredients

Change Quantities:
  1. Pre-heat the oven and line a large baking tray with parchment.
  2. Put the flour, almonds and baking powder into a bowl, stir to combine and set aside.
  3. Break the egg into another mixing bowl, add the sugar and beat well.
  4. Gently melt the chocolate then beat it into the mixing bowl.
  5. Beat in the oil.
  6. Add the prepared flour and stir to make a dough.
  7. Divide the dough into 15 pieces and roll each into a ball.
  8. Put the icing sugar onto a plate.
  9. Roll each ball of dough in the icing sugar then transfer it to the prepared baking tray.
  10. Flatten the cookies slightly and cook for 15 - 18 minutes.
