Cheesy Cornbread

Makes 1 loaf

This savoury Cheesy Cornbread is great on its own or simply spread with butter as an ideal accompaniment to vegetarian chilli or chilli con carne. 

Free from Gluten, Soya, Wheat, Nuts


Change Quantities:
  1. Pre-heat the oven and line a 500g/1lb loaf tin with parchment.
  2. Grate the cheddar into a mixing bowl, add the maize flour, baking powder and salt and stir to combine.
  3. Put the eggs, milk and lemon juice into another bowl and beat together.
  4. Stir in the mixture into the prepared flour and mix together.
  5. Tip the mixture into the prepared tin.
  6. Bake for 20-22 minutes.

220˚C, fan 200˚C, 425˚F, Gas 7
