Blackberry Cobbler


  • 500g blackberries
  • 1 eating apple
  • 100g Doves Farm Organic Self Raising White Flour
  • 50g sugar
  • 25g butter
  • 75ml milk


  1. Pre-heat the oven.
  2. Tip the blackberries into a 1lt/2pt ovenproof dish.
  3. Peel, core and dice the apple then stir it into the berries.
  4. Put the flour and sugar into a bowl and stir to combine.
  5. Add the butter and using a fork, blend everything together until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  6. Stir in the milk to form a soft, spongy mass of dough.
  7. Drop spoonful’s of the dough on top of the fruit.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
