Equipment:
2 x mixing bowls and greaseproof or parchment paper
Ingredients:
AIR FRYER PIZZA
150g Doves Farm Organic Pasta and Pizza Flour
½ tsp Doves Farm Quick Yeast
75ml tepid water
pinch salt
2 tbsp olive oil
5 tbsp tomato passata
OR
4 tbsp tomato purée + 2 tomato, sliced
salt and pepper
flour, for dusting
olive oil, for brushing
TOPPING OPTIONS
oregano or basil
pesto
olives
mozzarella
cheese
pepperoni
Method:
- Put the flour and yeast, into a large bowl, blend them together and stir in the water until it looks lumpy, then stir in the salt and oil.
- Using your hands gather together the doughy mass and knead in the bowl for 100 presses.
- Invert another bowl over the top and leave in a warm place, for at least 40 minutes. The dough can rest longer or even overnight in the fridge, just let it come back to room temperature before cooking.
- Cut two 15cm/6” circles of greaseproof or parchment paper and pre-heat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 200°C.
- Tip the dough onto a floured surface, stretch and fold it onto itself a few times, cut it in half and form two 15cm/6” circles.
- Put the dough circles on the paper circles, brush all over with olive oil, transfer to the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes at 200°C.
- Carefully lift the pizza bases out of the air fryer, divide the passata OR tomato puree and sliced tomatoes between the pizza bases and season with salt and pepper.
- Add optional toppings of your choice such as oregano or basil, small dots of pesto, olives, grated or sliced mozzarella, cheese or pepperoni.
- Return the pizza to the air fryer and cook at 200°C. for 4 minutes.
