Organic Strong Stoneground Wholemeal Flour 25kg

Great product from Doves Farm. Shame the delivery company DPD do not provide good enought service. On the first day, stayed at home waiting for delivery. Nothing was delivered but got a message 'we missed you'. On the second day, the delivery driver did not even bother for me to open the door, just dropped the 25-kg box outside and disappeared. I had to wait for my husband to come home in the evening to get the heavy item inside. Lucky for me, it was not raining but the bottom of the box got damp from sitting on the driveway for hours. Simply unacceptable! And this does qualify to be a customer complaint.

This is a great quality flour. It is fantastic when making a wholemeal loaf or mixing it with other flour types for a very tasty loaf. The item was delivered promptly and the 25kg bag is very handy if you make bread regularly and have the storage as it is better value.

I've been buying this bread flour for several years now for use with a bread machine. Very happy with the quality and buying the big sack makes it better value.

This is an excellent product, I love it and I will be purchasing more after I have consumed this.

I buy this 2 sacks at a time to save on postage! It makes fantastic sourdough bread which is really easy if you use my clever part bread machince method. But I don't use any yeast at all, as I just use the machine to do the final knead after the fermentation. The fact that this is stoneground means that the flour stays fresh for longer as the oils are distributed more evenly than with roller milling, and my opinion is that the flour is actually finer than roller milling. It certainly makes an impressive sourdough loaf - even with the addition of 75g of milled seeds - flax, sunflower, hemp, sesame & pumpkin AND 50g of doves farm rye flour - I get a superbly open crumb.

I'm happy with the flour I ordered. It arrived in good time and so useful to have a big bag on hand rather than having to buy from the supermarket in smaller quantities.
