Description:
Originating in Turkey, rye was extensively used during the Roman Empire to make rye bread.
Our Organic Rye Flour has a distinctive flavour and is still milled the old fashioned way, using whole grains of rye in the stoneground process. It is naturally lower in gluten than wheat, producing close textured breads with a pleasing continental flavour.
This 25kg sack size suits serious home cooks, bread makers, small bakeries, catering companies, schools and foodservice kitchens.
This product is Soil Association and Kosher certified.Â

The 25kg sacks are such good value for money if you're a frequent baker. Doves Farm rye flour is delightful: tangy and nutty in sourdough. It's a lovely fine grind for a wholemeal flour, even the colour is delightful and it makes for a well-fed starter!
