I made a rye and caraway bread using a 50/50 mixture of rye and strong white flours, it was amazing and so tasty. The loaf also lasted much longer than shop bought bread, being as fresh on the fifth day as it was on baking day, although the crust was not as crispy.

I love this flour, it has a much nicer flavour than normal wholemeal wheat flour. I've been sneaking wholemeal rye in the bread making machine on the white loaf setting and the children haven't spotted it, but love the taste of the bread - used 100 grams of it with 400 grams of organic strong white bread flour. Next step was bread rolls made by hand - used 300 grams of it with 300 grams of organic strong white bread flour. The children voted best bread rolls ever. I will take this as a win for stepping on the healthier bread ladder.
