We are delighted to announce that our Gluten and Wheat Free Self Raising Flour was the overall winner at the FreeFrom Food Awards 2011. The awards ceremony was held on the 6th of April at Kew Bridge Steam Museum and was presented by Anthony Worrall-Thompson.
We recieved the following comment from the panel of esteemed judges:
'The Doves Farm range of freefrom flours has formed the backbone of much of the UK's freefrom baking over the last five years so it is fantastic to see one of their most successful flours get the recognition that that they all deserve.'
Our catering products Gluten Free Biscuit Crumb and Gluten Free Batter Mix were named as runners up.
'Both excellent products with a wide range of uses within the catering industry. Very much needed!'
In the Foods Manufactured for Food Service category, we had joint success with two of our new catering products:
Gluten Free Batter Mix: ‘A crisp, light, fine, tasty batter with a great aroma and a great ingredients list!'
Gluten Free Biscuit Crumb: 'An extremely useful freefrom/gluten-free product filling a gaping gap whole in the catering market. A good, if rather sweet, digestive taste – an excellent cheesecake base.'

‘‘A very useful sponge as a cake and as a base – excellent aroma and texture if a bit sweet.'
Doves Farm – Fairtrade Mini Crunch Cookies
‘Extremely useful catering product – ideal as an accompaniment to tea, coffee or desserts in a restaurant or coffee bar setting.'
In the Ingredients category, our Self Raising Gluten and Wheat Free Flour was the winner. 'You would never have know it was gluten-free – works just like a conventional self raising flour. A hugely useful product for the gluten-free market.'
