Another 60kg of Flour for Let's Get Cooking

Date: 08 Aug 2012

Sponsorship Continues

60kg of Doves Farm Organic and Gluten Free flour was collected by Jo Ross of the Children's Food Trust for their Let's Get Cooking programme yesterday.

Continuing our support for the cookery classes and training events, we are now also extending our sponsorship to the South East region, having worked with the South West region for some time now.

Cooking club leaders across the country will be rolling up their sleeves and putting Doves Farm flour to good use over the next few months, at their Let's Get Cooking training sessions. Club leaders - who run family Let's Get Cooking clubs in primary schools across the country - will be honing their cookery demonstration skills, practising recipes such as ham and leek crumble, fresh pasta and vegetable-topped pizzas and flatbreads.

Let's Get Cooking training manager for the South East, Mari Polonen said, "We will be using over 200kg of flour at our training events over the next few months. The support of Doves Farm means we can explore different types of flours in different recipes with club leaders, helping them to get the best results when cooking with their clubs."

There are 5,000 Let's Get Cooking clubs in schools across England, and so far they have helped more than 2 million people improve their cooking skills. Training sessions are open to all clubs that are part of the Let's Get Cooking network - visit www.letsgetcooking.org.uk for more information.
