A butter shortbread prepared in traditional triangles.

Ingredients

250 gPlain White Flour
150 gButter
75 gCaster Sugar
1 tbspGranulated Sugar

Method

  1. Mix together the flour, butter and caster sugar to form a soft, crumbly dough.
  2. Press the dough into an oiled 15cm/6" round tin. Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the dough.
  3. Cut across the tin several times to form triangles.
  4. Use a fork to make holes all over the surface of the dough.
  5. Bake for 20/25 minutes in a pre heated oven.
  6. Remove from the oven and cut through the triangles again.
  7. Allow to cool in the tin.

A really lovely shortbread biscuit, I added extra sugar and they are delicious. Very very easy to make. I would certainly recommend these.

A nice biscuit if a little short on the sweetness, I will add a little more sugar next time! Very easy to make, if you knead it well you can then roll it out on a floued work surface and cut pretty shapes.

i made the shortbread cookies they taste great . very easy to make
