Quick and easy scones that will rise.

Ingredients

200 gGluten free S R white flour
50 gbutter
50 gcaster sugar
100 graisins
1 large egg
4 tbspsmilk

Method

  1. Rub in the butter and the flour.
  2. Add the caster sugar and raisins.
  3. Beat the egg and milk together in a seperate bowl, then add to the mixture.
  4. mix together with a metal spoon.
  5. Roll out and cut or shape with you hand into scone shapes.
  6. Bake for 10 mins 180 degrees C makes 6 largeish or 8 smaller scones.

180, 10 mins

Great easy recipe. they don't do a whole load of rising, so don't roll them too thin. Very tasty snack!

I think that I cut my circles a little to big and they did rise a little bit. But the flavor was lovely especially straight out of the oven.
