All packaging of organic food in the UK has to bear the following symbol by law in order to prove its traceability and authenticity.
Legislation requires farmers, growers, processors and packers of organic food are inspected annually, demonstrating that the detailed organic rules and requirements are met.
The logo has to be accompanied by the organic certifier code which in the case of Doves Farm is GB-ORG-05 (GB = Great Britain ORG = Organic 05 = Soil Association).
Underneath this code, a statement must be printed about where the product was farmed. for example: EU Agriculture.
