Packaging Policy
All products are labelled with type of packaging material used to enable recycling.
Our packaging complies with the Soil Association Packaging Standard for organic food.
Where possible packaging is made from renewable as well as recyclable materials.
Our packaging waste is monitored through the Valpak programme.
In 2011, Doves Farm Foods aims to:
- Review the packaging materials currently used.
- Provide information to staff and customers about the recycling of packaging materials.
In 2010 Doves Farm Foods reduced waste in the following ways:
- Separating and recycling the packaging from incoming goods
- Recycling outer packaging materials to reduce waste
- Reducing bulky packaging materials to cut down on waste.
In 2009 Doves Farm Foods worked to ensure that all packaging was totally chlorine free (TCF).
