Cookie Monster Cookies!! smile

These are super easy to make, and a brilliant idea for a childrens party! Just find a basic vanilla sponge upcake recipie, with a basic icing recipie, and to the icing add coconut and blue food colouring! The eyes cam be added from the same basic food colouring, or milk chocolate buttons and chocolate chips, and add cookies to decorate!

Re: Cupcake Photo Competition

Hi, I'm Nikki and I've had Coeliac for about 15 years [and Dove Farm is by far the best gf flour out there!]. my mum also has it [she was diagnosed after having me, so about 23/24years ago]. It was her birthday yesterday so decided to make this gluten free giant cupcake for her [hope it still hits the criteria as its a giant cupcake?]

she loved it, as did my dad, who used to refuse gf food when we were first diagnosed [as it really wasn't nice then], but polished off his slice of this big_smile

Re: Cupcake Photo Competition

Hi, I'm Clare

These are our Spring Cupcakes made using Doves Farm Organic Self Raising Flour. They are simple fairy cakes made using almost 100% organic ingredients, we couldn't find any organic mini eggs!
What I love about these little cakes is that I made them with my 9 year old daughter.

Re: Cupcake Photo Competition

Wow! There are so impressive....here's my humble offering!
I'm new to baking this month and have developed an interest now as I really struggle to have anything indulgent on my diet free of wheat, sugar and dairy.

There are coffee/chocolate and orange cream cupcakes, which I made using Dove's Gluten Free Self-raising Flour.
(the only sugar content is in the decorations. I used Xylitol sugar and Agave nectar for my frosting)

This week I hope to get stuck into some adapted 'Red Velvet and Chocolate Heartache' recipes using your Rice flour.

Re: Cupcake Photo Competition

Here are a few of the cupcakes i have made over the years.

All of these are gluten, wheat & dairy free

The first one is a cupcake burger with a chocolate brownie for the burger & coloured frosting for the mustard, ketchup & lettuce.

This one is a choc, chilli & peanut Cupcake, it is a choc sponge cover with chocolate ganache with a peanut frosting & sprinkled with paprika.

This one is my version of a read velvet cupcake, i used to bake them with the strawberry in the middle of the sponge but it ended up more like jam in the middle.

Re: Cupcake Photo Competition

Hi, I really dont know how to put my pics on here, so let me tell you a bit about me! My name is Lauren Whale I got married in April this year and was shocked at the price of wedding cupcake towers, so having never baked before, decided to bake my own 150 cupcake tower! I loved it, really enjoyed it and everyone said how fab they were, so since then, well this week infact, i have dcided to try and earn a bit of money baking them at home and selling them ! I have set up a facebook page with photos of my cakes on them there, but dont know how to upload a single pic onto this site, help anyone??? if you wan to to see my pictures the link is www.facebook.com/whalescakery
thank you.

Re: Cupcake Photo Competition

Hi - I've wrongly posted on your facebook page.  Having looked at the entries - they are out of my league!   I can't figure out how to incorporate image. I bake 2 to 3 times a week.

I'm gluten free and sulphite sensitive - so any processed food is out - everything I eat is made from scratch.  Posted red velvet cupcake - last two batches I have used roasted beetroots - gives it a richer texture.  Baked with rice flour.

Found vanilla butter icing makes a good compromise on the cheese icing (cream cheese is out!).  Used organic icing sugar - hence the natural toffee coloured butter cream.
