Einkorn Wheat Growing at Doves Farm
Using Einkorn seed, provided by an Agricultural Research Institute, this was used to set up the first trial plot in 2008. Being an autumn sown cereal, it overwinters in the ground and is harvested the following summer. After careful cleaning the harvested grain has been used as seed for subsequent plantings.
